CalcSolver is a free collection of online calculators: one scientific calculator and 41 solvers covering equations, fractions, number facts, percentages, loans, statistics, geometry, calculus and unit conversion.
What makes it different
A bare answer is useful when you are in a hurry, but it does not show you how to get there next time. Every CalcSolver tool writes out the method it used, line by line. You can compare it with your own working, find the step where something went wrong, and learn the pattern for the next problem.
Who uses it
- Students revising for tests or checking homework
- Parents helping children with math at home
- Teachers who need a clear worked example on the board
- Anyone sorting out a discount, a loan payment or a unit conversion
How it is built
The calculators run entirely in your web browser. Nothing you type is sent to us, you do not need an account, and the site works on phones, tablets, laptops and Chromebooks.
Keeping results accurate
Each tool is checked against known answers and tricky cases, such as dividing by zero, impossible triangles and very large numbers. If you find a result that looks wrong, please tell us through the contact page and we will look into it.
